GEORGE RAFTOPOULOS – OVVIO TEA AMBASSADOR NO:517th September 2015
“In the work of Sydney artist George Raftopoulos we see an intensely personal journey of love, doubt and empowerment. Yet like Greek myths which hold specific significance for Raftopoulos, a child of Greek migrant parents, Raftopoulos predominantly autobiographical paintings are reaching for universal themes of hope, longing, fear and desire. The artist’s fear sare mitigated by his heroic shadowy figures. These paintings undoubtedly speak of his heritage and history- Hellenic in conception yet Antipodean in execution”.
We met this amazing man, father of 2 beautiful girls and husband to the beautiful Denise in Paddington. He is our neighbour. He is the friendly face in the early hours of the morning when the streets of Paddington are alive with locals gathering around Gusto cafe for a coffee or tea before they go to work. George is a fan of Ovvio Tea so he was an obvious choice to represent our brand. He has loved one particular tea called Pure-ify Tea, a reincarnation of Cleansing Tea (the name change occurred in 2014). In store we call it George’s Tea.

I am indebted to Ovvio as it changed my life so I must thank the universe for guiding me to Anthia….and also my brother in-law whom introduced me.
